Mountainside Medical Group has announced that Morium Akthar, M.D. has joined the practice in the field of pulmonology.

Dr. Akthar is a dedicated physician who strives to provide top-notch pulmonology care.  She believes in educating her patients in order to assist them in navigating through the decisions that need to be made throughout their care.  “I am deeply passionate about improving the well-being of individuals and alleviating their physical ailments,” states Dr. Akthar.

Dr. Akthar's medical journey started at the University of Medicine & Dentistry in New Jersey, where she earned her medical degree. Continuing her education there, she completed her Internal Medicine Residency before pursuing her passion for pulmonary and critical care through a Fellowship at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. With licenses and certifications in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine, Dr. Akthar is well-equipped to provide specialized and comprehensive care to her patients.
